Sydney Sweeney stepped away from filming The Housemaid’s Secret in New Jersey, spent around 20 minutes signing autographs and taking selfies with a large crowd, then returned to the set.

The crowd gathered in Hoboken, where Sweeney is shooting the sequel to her 2025 thriller The Housemaid. Escorted by security and police, she worked the line for about 20 minutes, signing autographs and leaning in for selfies before heading back to set.

Production has taken over Garden Street between 9th and 10th, with scenes shot at The Hive, an uptown coffee shop that closed for a day of filming. The company paid the city $22,000 for permits and parking, and shot earlier in October at William Paterson University in Wayne.
Sweeney, 29, returns as Millie Calloway, the ex-convict turned housekeeper, this time hired by a woman she’s never allowed to see. Michele Morrone is back as Enzo, with Kirsten Dunst, Brittany Snow, Paul Anthony Kelly, and Stephen Kalyn joining and Paul Feig directing again.
The first film grossed more than $400 million worldwide. The Housemaid’s Secret is set for theaters December 17, 2027.
