John Travolta celebrated what would’ve been Kelly Preston’s 64th birthday by sharing their daughter Ella Bleu’s runway debut at Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2027 show in Paris. His October 13 tribute paired footage from the show earlier this month with Audrey Hepburn’s rendition of “Moon River.”

Travolta addressed his late wife directly: “Look at your baby girl now Kelly!! Happy birthday, you should be so proud!!” Ella shared her own birthday message with a childhood photo of herself and her mother: “Happy Birthday mama. I love you.”

Preston died of breast cancer in 2020 at 57. She and Travolta also shared sons Benjamin, now 15, and Jett, who died in 2009 at 16.

Ella has spoken about turning to songwriting after losing her mother, including writing “Little Bird” about her. “It’s different for each person going through loss, but for me personally, it was just this pure message that I wanted to give to my mum,” she said.
Travolta also brought Ella into a project dedicated to Preston and Jett, casting her in his feature film directorial debut, Propeller One-Way Night Coach. Speaking about living with grief, he said: “I’m not made to remain absorbed in the darkness. I can look at the darkness, but I don’t choose to die in that darkness.”
